Textiles Teacher – Secondary School (Maternity Cover)

Contract: Part-Time (4 days per week), Maternity Cover

Dunbar Education is proud to be working with a well-regarded Secondary School in London, seeking a passionate and dedicated Textiles Teacher to join their vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a strong background in Textiles to inspire and engage students during for maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Design Technologyand lead engaging classes in DT Textiles GCSE and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (Art and Design Specification).
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Textiles lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Encourage creativity and innovation in student projects.
• Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental activities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
• Proven experience teaching Textiles at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Textiles.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
