We are currently recruiting for a Senior Motor Claims Handler to join my clients team in North Shields; this is a fantastic opportunity for you to join their outstanding claims team. This role is open to anyone looking for full or part time hours.

You will have a minimum of three years experience in dealing with all aspects of RTA claims from dealing with policyholder s own damage claims to third party personal injury and credit hire claims. You will have a thorough understanding of motor claims including liability, indemnity, litigation and legal costs. You may be ready to step up but your employer is unable to offer the role you deserve.

The role will consist of handling a caseload including high value and more complex claims up to £50,000, coaching / developing and dealing with referrals from less experienced colleagues in line with company policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and proactively manage your own caseload of motor claims to achieve optimum outcomes
• Responsibility for own performance by achieving KPIs and objectives
• Coaching and development of less experienced colleagues within the department
• Keep up to date with developments across the motor insurance claims market
• Participate in project work as required

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Already working within the TP arena with substantial experience of managing a caseload
• Achieving KPIs and objectives at current level
• Displaying desirable behaviour in relation to the business and its objectives
• Ability to work proactively and to tight deadlines and to take ownership for your own work
• Sound technical knowledge of motor claims including litigation, liability and indemnity
• Proven record of adhering to company handling authorities and following referral processes
