The Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) is an executive agency of His Majesty’s Treasury (HM Treasury), established in April 2015 to improve the quality of internal audit provided to central government. Most of the Agency’s people are professionally qualified internal auditors, accountants or investigators. This is an exciting time to join us! The introduction of our Audit Response Team, alongside our embedded customer facing teams means we can elevate our impact across UK central government. We are recruiting a number of roles, focussing mainly on our Audit Response Team.
About the Team
For roles in our Audit Response Team, you will work to deliver a portfolio of audits across several of our customers, collaborating closely with our customer teams. As a member of this team you will have access to dedicated, bespoke development programmes to support you to get up to speed, and you’ll work closely with all our high-performing and supportive teams where you will have the opportunity to expand and enrich your skills.

About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a strong understanding of governance, risk management, control and assurance issues. You will be a strong, analytical thinker and problem solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must be at the least part qualified in internal audit or accountancy and hold membership of a relevant professional body.

Hybrid Working is available to GIAA colleagues. This means a combination of office working and working from home. This includes time spent in our GIAA office locations and can also include any time spent attending our customers’ sites.
GIAA colleagues are expected to work in an office location for three days a week on average (60%). Naturally, this expectation will be applied on a pro-rata basis for people who have a part-time or compressed hours working pattern.
