Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across Lambeth and Wandsworth to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable teachers for day-to-day supply roles starting in October 2026.

Whether you’re seeking regular work, part-time opportunities, or the flexibility to fit teaching around other commitments, supply teaching offers the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of school settings while maintaining control over your availability.

The Role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, responsibilities may include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
• Maintaining a positive, engaging and productive learning environment
• Managing behaviour in line with individual school policies
• Supporting students’ learning and progress throughout lessons
• Following safeguarding and school procedures at all times
• Providing feedback to teaching and pastoral staff when required
• Adapting confidently to different school environments and subject areas

About You

We are looking for teachers who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
• Have recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Can adapt quickly to different schools, departments and teaching requirements
• Are committed to supporting positive outcomes for all students
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
