A unique opportunity to work 24-hours a week (3 full days or school/business hours) with a Norwich-based company who are looking for a Part-time Management Accountant.

Your new role
In this part-time Management Accountant job, you will take responsibility for the general bookkeeping with a focus on the production of the monthly management accounts which will include all accruals, prepayments, journals and analysis of the actual expenditure vs budget. Within the monthly pack, you will also take responsibility for updating their costing model, which will involve cost analysis by product and customer to highlight seasonal peaks and areas of development regarding cost savings.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will also assist in the yearly budgeting, forecasting as well as month-end & year-end close and VAT returns.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will be at least an AAT 4 Assistant Accountant or a part-qualified Management Accountant with proven experience of monthly reporting along with the ability to analyse distribution costs. Any experience of an ERP reporting system would be an advantage, but this is not essential, but the ability to produce accurate monthly management accounts is essential.

What you’ll get in return
As explained, the organisation offers flexible part-time hours of 24-hours a week, which can be 3 full days or working daily, but on shorter hours, ie: 9.30am – 2.30pm, as well as offering hybrid working. The full-time equivalent salary will be circa £36,000, depending on experience.
