Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with an established and growing business on the outskirts of York who are seeking an experienced HR Manager / HR Business Partner to lead and support all aspects of the people function. This is a hands-on generalist role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a real impact across the organisation. The position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week.

This is a fully site-based role and does not offer home working.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current and future employment legislation.
• Develop, review and maintain HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks.
• Manage and continuously improve recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes.
• Support succession planning and organisational development initiatives.
• Design, implement and evaluate training and development programmes.
• Assist managers with performance reviews and employee development planning.
• Maintain accurate HR systems, records and reporting.
• Contribute to the development of a positive and engaged workplace culture.
• Review and enhance employee benefits and retention initiatives.
• Provide strategic HR guidance whilst remaining involved in the day-to-day operational HR activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be supported by an established external HR advisory partner, providing access to additional expertise and resources when required.

Candidate Requirements

• CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience.
• Proven experience in a standalone HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with HR and payroll systems would be advantageous.
• Sector experience within hospitality, leisure, retail or other fast-paced operational environments would be beneficial.

Desirable Experience

Experience managing Sponsorship Visa Licence administration would be highly advantageous. The business currently sponsors a small number of overseas employees and would welcome candidates with an understanding of sponsorship compliance, record keeping and right-to-work obligations.
