Hunter AHP Resourcing is seeking an experienced Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at a reputable NHS hospital in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to work in a busy NHS environment, offering an immediate start with a competitive pay rate.

Key Details:

• Position: Locum Dispensary Pharmacist
• Location: NHS Hospital, Essex
• Pay Rate: £24 to £28 per hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Part-time availability can be considered
• Start Date: ASAP (ongoing assignment)
• Experience Level: Hospital pharmacy or dispensary experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispensing prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients within the hospital setting
• Supporting the preparation and dispensing of medicines, including controlled drugs
• Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medicines to wards and departments
• Checking prescription forms for accuracy and legal compliance
• Managing dispensary stock and assisting with stock control
• Liaising with hospital staff, including doctors and nurses, to ensure optimal use of medications
• Providing advice and guidance on the safe and effective use of medicines
• Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and regulatory standards
• Supporting the dispensary team and contributing to the smooth running of the department

Requirements:

• GPhC registration
• Previous experience working in a hospital dispensary or equivalent setting
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and NHS protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
