Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Human Resources Officer, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive support to line managers and supervisors in various people management issues. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Advisory Support: Offering high-quality advice and guidance on Performance and Attendance Management, Police Staff discipline, and management of change, ensuring compliance with Employment Legislation and organisational policies.
• Attendance Management: Proactively supporting attendance management processes, including monitoring milestones and liaising with managers to address any concerns.
• Disciplinary Support: Assisting in Police Staff disciplinary processes, conducting inquiries, and drafting essential documentation.
• Corporate Support: Providing advice regarding employment lifecycle processes, such as flexible working and annual leave, to ensure smooth operations.
• Documentation Production: Creating informative HR materials and maintaining records to support effective people management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Our client is looking for an individual who possesses:

• Previous experience in an HR environment, particularly in supporting managers with people management issues.
• Effective communication skills to provide clear and concise guidance.
• The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
• Resilience and assertiveness in handling challenging situations.
• Strong administrative and computer skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing.
