Our client is a new player in an old industry. They provide bespoke, innovative, and exceptional facilities management and cleaning services to prestigious clients around Central London. • Hours of Work – these can be flexible and adapted to your circumstances:

Evenings only, Monday to Friday, working from just 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 evenings a week;

From 5 up to 8 hours a day, with flexible start and finish times between 16:30 – 00:30, with core hours of at least 18:30 – 23:30 essential.

• Location: Central London, though some remote work might be possible.
• Rate of Pay: From £14.50 – £16.50 per hour, depending on experience, plus performance-related bonus.

Who are you?

People are our client’s most important asset, so finding the right team members is paramount. This role would be perfect for you if you have a good understanding of how the cleaning industry works with a high level of experience and exposure to working practices, reporting, planning, and logistics. You will have had first-hand experience with cleaning, communicating with multiple teams across different sites, and having full ownership of quality assurance for both scheduled tasks and priority client requests. You will be able to demonstrate thorough critical thinking skills considering both the finer details and the bigger picture. On a more personal level, you will love working evenings and be flexible with finishing time.

The Role:

Duties & responsibilities

• Ownership of ensuring the evening service delivery is fulfilled to an exceptional standard.
• Planning evening operations and effectively communicating with the team.
• Reacting to last-minute changes and helping teams to address and adapt to changes.
• Conducting quality audits and checks.
• Identifying effective working practices, and training team members on new and improved ways of doing things.
• Conducting performance and feedback sessions, along with training, with positive outcomes for all.
• Solving problems – in the immediate and long term.
• Reviewing software for data collated throughout the evening, addressing discrepancies with team members.
• Following reporting procedures, providing a succinct overview of the evening’s service delivery considering follow-up actions and associated owners.
• Swift and quality handling of difficult situations, getting to the heart of any potential issues.

Essential criteria

• Senior experience in cleaning/facilities management company (2 years).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English & Spanish).
• Natural ability to adapt to the needs of team members to get the best outcome.
• Ability to demonstrate fantastic problem-solving skills and take initiative, ensuring that long-term solutions are sought, and learnings are shared.
• Have a passion for consistently producing exceptional results, with exceptional diligence.
• Strong leadership style, encouraging the right working practices, and holding people accountable.
• Tech savvy and proficient with operating systems such as Microsoft and iOS. Confident with technology and able to help colleagues when they struggle with using technology / the app during their work.
• The ability to combine an eye for detail with an eye for the bigger picture.
• Naturally high standards, both in cleaning, but also in presentation.

Desirable

• Driving Licence is permitted in the UK.
• First aid trained.
• Health and safety knowledge.
• Ability to adapt unexpectedly and work well under pressure.
• Enjoys looking for improvements and providing valuable feedback.
