Kenect Recruitment is looking to hire a part-time Class 2 removals driver in the Birmingham area!

Part-time meaning 2-3 shifts per week and on occasions 5 days per week including occasional weekends.

Please note: There is no guarantee of work. It is as and when our client requires driver cover.

Salary: 15.56 per hour plus holiday pay accrued at a rate of 12.07%

Market leaders in commercial relocations, they undertake business, and technology moves for customers of all sizes and sectors as well as corporate residential moves within the UK and internationally.

About the role:

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver, internally known as a Relocation Operative to join our client’s team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring they are securely loaded and unloaded.

Shift start times can vary between 05.30 – 07.00am and on occasions PM start times would be expected. Shift lengths can be as long as 13-14 hours.

So, that’s all the good stuff – what about the essentials?

• Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring goods are secure and protected
• Must hold a valid UK LGV2 license for a minimum of 12 months
• Must have experience driving a LGV2 vehicle within the last six months
• Must have no more than 6 points on license for minor offences
• Promoting safety and adhering to best practices
• Warehouse tasks including moving goods in and out of storage
• Participating in relocation activities as needed
• Must have a high-visibility vest and safety boots
• Must be prepared to attend a 2-3-hour unpaid induction prior to starting
