About the Role
Applications are sought for a talented Bioinformatician to join the Centre for Tumour Microenvironment to provide and maintain the bioinformatics core function for the National Institute for Health and Care Research Barts Biomedical Research Centre. The post holder will be working within the project group to lead the bioinformatics components and provide bioinformatics and computational expertise to on-going research activities.
About You
Essential requirements for this post include an MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Genomics or a relevant discipline. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and experience in large-scale data analysis, especially next-generation sequencing data sets, e.g, RNA-seq, whole-exome sequencing and/or ChIP-seq. Experience in single-cell RNA-seq analysis, spatial omics and machine-learning is much desired. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 12 months, with an expected start date of December 2024. The starting salary will be Grade 4-5, in the range of £39,065 – £50,685 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
