Hays
Year 1 Teacher job in the Eastbourne area both full and part-time
Your new company:
Finding the right role takes careful consideration – and we’re just life-long partners that can help you on your journey towards success. Here, with you every step of the way, we can connect you with opportunities that match your priorities and goals. Because at Hays, we’re Working for your tomorrow.
You will be working for a market leader that has exclusive partnerships with schools across East Sussex. Hays has various teaching opportunities with our Partnership Schools across the East Sussex area. These opportunities are on a permanent, long-term or daily supply cover basis. Due to an increase in demand from schools in your local area, we are looking for experienced primary teachers to take up the multiple positions we have available.
Your new role:
You will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs and teaching style. Working for Hays will enable you to work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your commitments. As a Hays Teacher you will be able to work in a variety of schools, from small mixed form village schools to multiple form entry large schools.
What you’ll need to succeed:
In order to be a Primary Supply Teacher, you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up-to-date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating professionalism at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to TAS and other people in the school.
What you’ll get in return:
You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience and the responsibilities of each assignment, plus you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year. You will receive free, up-to-date safeguarding training and the option to join our ‘guarantee pay scheme’ is also possible. You will enjoy working in a variety of primary, infant and junior schools and will receive the benefits of working with your own personal primary teaching consultant who specialises in the areas of Sussex. If you know of other education professionals looking for supply, long-term or permanent work, you can also receive £350 worth of vouchers every time you recommend a colleague to Hays.
