Position Details:
– Role: Midday Assistant
– Location: Tower Hamlets
– Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
– Start Date: ASAP
– Age Group: Children aged 2-6 years with complex needs, including Autism and physical disabilities
– Personal Care: Required as part of the role
– Opportunities: Potential for additional hours and cover shifts available

As a Midday Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our young learners with SEN (Special Educational Needs) during their midday break. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in sensory play and creative activities, fostering a nurturing environment for children with complex needs.

Daily Duties:
– Supervise and engage children during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
– Assist with personal care needs, including feeding and hygiene.
– Facilitate sensory play activities that promote engagement and development.
– Encourage social interaction and communication among children.
– Support children in their creative play, using various materials and resources.
– Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized care plans.
– Monitor and report on children’s behavior and progress to the teaching team.
– Ensure a clean and organized play area post-lunch.
