Removal Operative (Porter)

JB Removals & Storage Ltd are are seeking additional drivers, packers and and reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as movers to join our successful MoveAssured accredited and fully insured, family run, removals and storage company. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and excellent communication skills.

The Head Office of the Company is at Pandy in Wrexham but the role will involve regular local & nationwide travel and some overnight stays.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to Permanent

Pay: £12.10 per hour + potential to earn tips & company pension

Schedule: Monday to Friday with some weekend availability

Required Experience: Clean Driving Licence: 1 year (required) & fluent English speaker

The Role:

• The work will involve the collection of goods, loading and unloading of containers and completion of associated documentation.
• A high degree of manual labour is required.
• You will be expected to wrap and pack furniture ensuring all goods are marked correctly and inventories are completed in full and assist the team when on removals and collections and in the warehouse as and when required.
• Driving Company Van Fleet vehicles working on domestic & commercial removals.
• You will be required to keep the vehicles clean on a daily basis and complete the necessary maintenance sheets.
• Health and safety is a big part of the role ensuring you are using all equipment provided for your own and other s safety.

Skills and knowledge

You’ll need to:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Have knowledge of transport methods, costs and benefits
• Be thorough, communicative and pay attention to detail
• The ability to be a team player and assist on moves ensuring that they run smoothly and to time.
• Be able to carry out basic tasks, ADHOC basis and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
• Have a good level of fitness and to pass a medical check
